Founder and Creative director
Ben has a background in professional videography, design and the creative industries. He founded The Custom Shop in 2017 to bring a new style of cutting edge, conceptually ambitious creativity to the VW camper scene. Ben combines an entrepreneurial mindset with an artisanal level of dedication and creativity, and is committed to expanding The Custom Shop into new areas.

Rachel is a co-founder of The Custom Shop and manages business operations and client relationships. Rachel loves getting involved in the conversion process and is always on the lookout for new design elements to incorporate into our builds. She is an expert in organising family camper trips, and loves the simplicity and creativity of camper cooking.

Iain
WORKSHOP MANAGER
Iain is workshop manager and in charge of quality control at The Custom Shop. He is an avid petrolhead with a background in automotive detailing, and applies his obsessively high standards to all vehicles leaving The Custom Shop. Iain is a connoisseur of fine finishes, and is on hand to consult on interior and exterior colours, textures and trims.

Kevin joined The Custom Shop team in 2020 and has quickly immersed himself in the world of camper conversion, bringing valuable new insights from his previous work in high-end automotive manufacture. He has already made a huge impact with his incredible eye for detail, commitment to the end product, and ability to remain calm as completion deadlines get closer!

Another 2020 addition to the team, we invited Louis to join us after seeing his skills and precision in joinery. He has made a massive contribution to our conversion processes, giving us a fresh perspective and boosting efficiency and accuracy. We are looking forward to expanding the potential of our conversions thanks to the expertise of the workshop team.

As part of the expansion of The Custom Shop to include both content creation and media production, we have brought Luis aboard to take a leading role in our video and other digital channels. Luis and Ben worked together for over ten years in the film industry, and look forward to bringing fresh ideas and energy to this exciting new part of the business!

Carrie is the first point of contact for many of our clients, and is able to give informed and supportive advice to those seriously interested in a conversion or just looking to learn more about what we do. We know how important it is to keep you in the loop on the progress and completion schedule of your precious build, and Carrie can answer any queries you may have along the way.

Hannah recently joined The Custom Shop to implement a new marketing strategy and manage social media and digital communications. With her background in sustainable energy and travel marketing, Hannah brings a wealth of experience to the business and is looking to maximise the beautiful images, video and other content that we will be producing. Content & Communications
Felix brings together content and ideas for The Custom Shop's online presence, including news, blogs and brochures to showcase the most exciting developments at the business. He is always on the lookout for ingenious space-savers, one-off paintjobs, and custom interiors to write about, and tries to keep on top of all the new developments taking place in the workshop on a weekly basis.
